Small Beginnings

For a week, I've heard, “Do not despise these small beginnings. Continue the work! The more I meditate on the scripture, the more I am encouraged.
I know several people who are in the process of starting a new business, a new endeavor, a new goal, or a new personal pursuit or passion. Some journeys are short, and others are long. You may be one who has become discouraged or feels that what you’re doing is insignificant. You may experience times when you want to quit, and you may become unmotivated because your investment is not yielding the results you desire. Well, let me encourage you: Every season serves a purpose.
On my journey of living and becoming, I am learning:
My character is being built.
My strength, tenacity, diligence, and agility are increasing.
Obstacles and roadblocks do not have to destroy me; they are mere inconveniences.
To trust in God’s timing and provision to bring my efforts to completion.
To not have a negative attitude or outlook
To live in expectation of great things
Focus on my efforts and what I can control.
Enjoy the journey.
Then, when you reach a point of being “established or viewing oneself as being more experienced or better than others," don't forget where you “came from." We all started somewhere! I have been fortunate to have people rooting for me, but I know that it may not be true for everyone. Why not be that for someone else? We have a responsibility to reach back and help others. Do not “look down” on people when they're starting out. Be the support and resource that they need.
